Smoke and Murder

Smoke and Murder

Small town. Big Trouble. One dangerous vision…

When two tough-looking men walk into the coffee shop and ask Amelia Wethers about her former algebra teacher, Amelia’s torn. Normally she’d be happy to point them towards Judith Thompson. Mrs. Thompson was her loudest critic, who thrived on embarrassing her. But an “accidental" touch leads to a chilling vision of vials filled with a mysterious fluid, shadowy breaks-ins, and conversations about violence. What’s going on? Is Mrs. Thompson in trouble, or is she the leader of a crime ring?

Teaming up again with her detective boyfriend, Nick, and her best friend Carolyn, Amelia dives into another investigation filled with late-night stakeouts, questionable disguises, and escalating risks. Just as Amelia wonders if she’s in over her head, the investigation takes a supernatural turn, when Carolyn begins exhibiting strange new powers tied to the case.

Now Amelia must stop a crime spree she suspects involves Mrs. Thompson and the shadowy men, save her best friend from powers she doesn’t want, and keep the espresso machine on all before Halloween.
